Travel Health Guide

Getting sick or hurt while you’re traveling is the last thing you want to think about when you’re neck-deep in the ecstasy of planning a trip. But thinking about it now – and taking steps to prevent anything catastrophic from happening – is much better than ignoring it and then not knowing what to do if you do get sick. You know what they say about an ounce of prevention being better than a pound of cure? Well, some silly old sayings aren’t so silly!

In this section, you’ll find information about travel insurance, travel vaccines, exercising while traveling, and even about bed bugs! You’ll also find a series of articles about malaria, and some online resources we think are really handy to look at when you’re planning a trip. On the other end of the spectrum, we also have a few articles for those of you who travel specifically to get healthy – we’re talking here about spa travel, and since it’s big business we figured we’d help you out with a few tips. If you think there’s something missing in this section, please drop us a note and let us know!

Please note that we’re not doctors. We don’t even play doctors on TV. In fact, none of us is even related to a doctor. In other words, this is all provided as a starting point for you in your quest for knowledge – and you shouldn’t start any health regime or take any medications without talking to your personal doctor first. Being a smart traveler means being smart about your health, too!
