Student Travel Guide
There are major upsides to traveling while you’re a student – you get regular blocks of free time, you can take advantage of student discounts, and your young body is pliable enough to not mind sleeping curled up in the corner of a train car. There are downsides, too, of course – the main one being that you’re more used to spending money on tuition and books and may not have as much to blow on travel. But we think that it doesn’t take oodles of money to travel well (though oodles of money is always nice), and if you’re smart about making the most of the discounts you’re eligible for you can really stretch your travel budget.
This section is full of great information about both student travel and study abroad. In other words, whether you’re looking to actually go to school in another country or you’re just hoping to country-hop in between semesters back home, we’ve got what you’re looking for. You’ll find tips about getting all the student travel discounts you’re entitled to (including getting student airfare discounts!), a study abroad guide (and even some non-traditional study abroad programs), and even a guide to the Semester at Sea program. And for those of you who are just hoping to experience that week-long hedonistic ritual that is Spring Break, we’ve got you covered as well.
If you aren’t finding what you’re looking for, please let us know what we’re missing – and if you’ve got a student travel or study abroad story you want to share with us, we’d love to hear it!
